Greetings from Bretton Woods. My family is skiing and snowboarding for a week at our ski condo at the Mount Washington Resort. We are having extreme weather - from 59 on Monday to a wind chill of -35 today. We got a few inches of snow on Tuesday but the ski area needs more snow. Several trails have rocks and dirt showing. I ski until lunch when the trail gets too icy. We skiied here two weeks ago with great conditions so the ski area lost lots of snow.
We are stuck inside today because of the extreme cold and wind. I got new skis and a matching jacket yesterday at the outlets in North Conway. I would really rather be skiing. I had to replace my broken skis. I was in a ski accident a year ago at Bretton Woods. I was hit from behind and the person broke of the bindings off my skis. I had a bad concussion with trauma to the front of my head. Luckily, I started wearing a helmut 10 years ago when I taught my twins how to ski. I could not ski the rest of the season.
I really enjoy skiing again with my 15 year old son and daughter. We had great time skiing here during Thanksgiving week and the weekend of Dec 12 to 14. We had an ice storm and lost power for several days at our home so we came here to ski.
I will post photos of some new stamping projects within the next week. I got a new camera, Canon 880 SD, which is taking great photos and videos of my kids doing jumps and tricks in the terrain park. I replaced my four year old Pentix Optio which was too slow for the action shots. I am surprised how great the photos are from such a small camera. My daughter has been taking great photos with the Canon 750 SD for the last year. My favorite camera is my digital Canon Rebel which I used for the last five years. This camera is too large to take skiing.
